Why You Should Be Doing This Exercise
Because you're tired of vanilla bicep curls, your muscles are tired of them, and the people who work out around you are tired of watching you do them. OneResult loves bicep curls (two tickets to the gun show is always a tough stubhub find), but OneResult also loves bicep exercises that incorporate your forearms and triceps. Start
Grab the dumbbell in one hand, and assume an athletic stance. Have the weight in your palm facing your body. You've never been more ready.
Middle
Curl the weight up across your body so that it almost brushes your chest on the way up. At the top of the curl get a little crazy with it and roll your wrist over while bringing the weight to the side of your body. Yep, there's your catch.
Finish
After you turn your wrist over, bring the weight down as if you're doing a reverse bicep curl. There's your forearm action right there. BOOM!
Key Don'ts
The negative, i.e. returning the weight down to your starting position... Yeah, it matters. Don't get all gravity-caving on us and just drop the weights. No, no, no. Take your time and enjoy Zottman's visionary brilliance. Should be just as tough on the way down as it was on the way up.
